(DATA) Designers Against Tibetan Abuse

I have been very kindly invited to take part in a book project which I am very excited about entitled DATA (Designers Against Tibetan Abuse). The projects premise is to both raise awareness of Tibetan issues and to also show designers that they have a social responsibility which they must take seriously.

The project will involve myself along with some other renowned participants such as Si Scott, Adhemas Batista, Alex Trochut, Bram Timmer, David Carvalho (Karpa), Pawel Nolbert (hellocolor), Pete Harrison (Aeiko), Mike Harrison (Destill), Justin Maller (superlover and depthcore), Diogo Potes (six letter word) and more tbc. I will post more over the coming months but find out more about the project and who is involved at DATA.  Source: Cpluv

Overspill Car Park

This had me looking twice last night as we drove past. A Mini special build on the side of an old car park in the centre of Glasgow. Renfield Street opposite the Cineworld if you want to see it for yourself, wish I’d seen them putting it up!

New A2 Double Poster Set – ViceVersa

I have just completed the designs for a new A2 poster set entitled ViceVersa. The posters can be hung separate or can be put together to create the positive and negative of each other (Shown above). I am currently looking at getting costs for a limited edition print run including a spot UV varnish. More images and information can be found here

Thanks Kevin!

So I come home from a hard days work (What?) and find a lovely limited edition gold screenprint waiting for me as a thank you from Kevin Summers from Thisismakebelieve for a post on The Serif* last week. Not at all needed but a very kind gesture, why not checkout the rest of his screenprints and work.

*Please note bribes are welcomed but do not guarantee a post on The Serif or elsewhere. Honestly!

Data Flow – New Gestalten Book

A new book entitled Data Flow from those kind folks at Berlin publishers Die Gestalten Verlag is going to include some of my work including the Typical Day poster and the Spirograf materials set. The book is due to hit the shops in October 2008. More to follow nearer the release.

Thank you too

Thank You Too is a small project started by Hugo Verweij en Joachim Baan. It’s a business-card sized booklet with 30 cards, 5 post cards and a stamp. Really nice little idea well executed. Joachim has some other nice work at his site anothercompany

Keming

Saw this on FFFFound and had to post it. Have you ever been caught out keming?

Supermorebetter

Super More Better is the studio of Eric Duvauchelle. I loved this retro inspired Oregon Runner Magazine that he produced for Nike, the photography was brilliant (above). Lots of other great work there too.

Howies T-Shirt of the Week

I have always liked Howies as a brand, (especially their clothing catalogues). This new T-shirt of the week feature on the website is simple enough, new design every Thursday and only £20. Nice! This week by Nick Radford ’Bumpkin’ as in country! (shown above)… Bit like myself really!

TEN:15 Submission

I submitted this photo I took at a bus stop on Victoria Road to the Ten:15am project. One of the projects organisers Jody had some nice words to say about me on his blog EatingSandwiches.
